Harbor Lights Sets Monday Seafood Festival on Warwick’s Waterfront
Warwick’s waterfront will host a seafood afternoon Monday, with chowder, clam cakes, oysters, and live music on the menu.
Harbor Lights has scheduled its Seafood Festival for October 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. The organizer’s event page prominently identifies Monday as the new date, an important detail for anyone planning a visit.
Rhode Island Monthly highlighted the festival in its October 8 events guide, describing an afternoon of coastal food and music at the venue’s Seaside Tent and Lawn. Warwick, Rhode Island
Admission is $10 per person and includes one complimentary drink ticket, according to Harbor Lights. Food is purchased separately through $5 tickets, with dishes requiring between one and three tickets each.
That means an individual food item can cost $5 to $15 beyond admission. Guests planning to sample several stations should account for both charges when setting their budget.
The announced offerings include chowder, clam cakes, fresh oysters, lobster specialties, seafood macaroni and cheese, handheld favorites, and sweet treats. The lineup provides several ways to approach the afternoon, from trying a familiar Rhode Island staple to sharing a selection of different dishes.
Singer Alger Mitchell is scheduled to perform, adding a musical backdrop to the waterfront gathering.
The festival takes place at 150 Gray Street in Warwick. Organizers say the event will proceed rain or shine, moving into the Grand Ballroom if weather requires.
Before purchasing, check the organizer’s current ticket information and date. For diners looking for a local outing, Monday’s festival pairs coastal flavors with an afternoon together.
